12- or 24-Week Spring/Summer 2012 CSA Memberships Now Available! (click here)

Season begins mid-May 2012!

Poplar Ridge Farm is currently taking memberships for our 24-week Spring/Summer CSA season, mid-May through October 2012. We are currently sold out of Produce/Herb Memberships for the 10-week season, mid-October through December.

Produce Membership Types (learn more about membership types here):

Sign up at current 2011 rates until January 13! (Rates will increase by $1.50/week after January 13.)

Full-share Produce/Herb members will receive a full 1/2-3/4 bushel box of produce during each of the season’s 24 weeks.

Full-Share CSA Membership for Spring/Summer 2012 Season: $876.00 ($36.50/week)

Effective January 14, 2012: $912.00 ($38/week)

Half-share Produce/Herb members will receive a full ½- ¾ bushel box of produce every other week (12 weeks total). We will assign half-share partners from our list, unless members have partner requests.

Half-Share CSA Membership for Spring/Summer 2012 Season: $438.00 ($36.50/week)

Effective January 14, 2012: $456.00 ($38/week)

Draw-down members have the option to custom-fill their boxes. Use the online order form and place an order – any size, any week. Draw-Down Members must sign up for a Full-Share CSA Membership by March 24 and use their full account balance within the calendar year – a bonus of an extra 10 full weeks (34 weeks total) to use their share!

We have experimented this option to great success with a few members who are frequent travelers, and we are now opening the option to a limited number!

Draw-Down CSA Membership for Spring/Summer 2012 Season:

$876 until January 13.

$912 beginning January 14.

Summer Flower Memberships

Full and Half Season Flower Membership – 20 weeks or 10 weeks

We offer a cut-flower CSA membership, an array of cut flowers from the week’s harvest. By special order, we can provide designed floral bouquets for your home, parties, or events. All requests are filled in order of receipt.

Become a flower member and save! All flowers are organically grown.

Orders must be placed by noon on the Monday before pick-up. Pick-up times are during the farm’s Market Stand hours: 2-6 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays.

20-week Flower Membership:  $400

10-weeks Flower Membership: $200

Partner Farmer Products

Through our partner farmers, you may order poultry, eggs, bread, coffee or goat cheese to supplement your CSA membership.

A deposit of $50 per product is required to guarantee your initial order. We will apply a $2 transaction fee for each $50 deposit for members who choose to pay partner farmer deposits online (avoid this fee by mailing a check to the farm).

Eggs, bread, cheese and coffee will be delivered with your produce once every four weeks. Your total price for these orders, May through October, will be invoiced at the beginning of the season. Your initial deposit will be subtracted from this total invoice.

Organic freshly ground spelt bread

$6.50/loaf
9-Grain Spelt Bread or Spelt Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Goat Cheese
$5 for 4 ounces
$38 for 2-pound bag
Soft and Plain Can be divided and frozen for 3 months

Organic Coffee
$10 for 12-ounce bag
Small-batch, custom-roasted coffee from an organic roaster in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Gourmet Breed Poultry
$4.50 per lb
Pasture-raised with no hormones or antibiotics
Poultry must be picked up at the farm, but please do not let this discourage you from ordering! The poultry, along with the other products, can be bought in bulk and frozen! The initial deposit of $50 for poultry is REQUIRED to guarantee your order, and we will invoice again in $50 deposit increments once your original deposit has been fully used.
