Below are membership options for all of the produce, flowers and products we offer at Poplar Ridge Farm (learn more about membership types here):

Full (22-24 Week) and Half Season (11-12 Week) Membership – Produce/Herbs

Each week’s harvest feeds approximately a family of four (two adults, two children).  This does depend on your family’s dining-in schedule, freezing and preserving.  Seasonal eating fills your ½ – ¾ bushel box of each week’s harvest.  (Including approximately 5-6 items in early spring and fall when the harvest is just beginning and 8-10 items in high season. Each item ranges from ½ pound – 3 pounds per item. Tomatoes range between 3-5 lbs per week in the high season. Herbs are 2/3 of an ounce. Micro greens are usually received in half ounce quantities. In high season you may have both a box and a grocery bag of goodies so be sure you pick up everything. Each box contains the same selection of that week’s harvest.) Season begins in May and runs through October.  Recipes and advance notice on the upcoming week’s produce, in order to menu plan or add surplus is sent in our newsletter.

The end of the summer CSA season is determined by the weekly harvest that we are able to provide.  We are pleased to say that our CSA members always receive $35 – $40 of additional produce, exceeding the membership fee. The Spring/Summer season begins in May and typically spans 22-24 weeks. The Fall membership starts in October and spans 10 weeks.

Weekly Purchases to Non-Members

We fill weekly orders based on surplus after our members’ orders are filled. Fee due at time of service. Weekly purchases can be a variety of produce in ½ – ¾ bushel boxes for $38.50 or individual items purchased by the pound.  Orders can be placed and purchased online before Mondays at 12 noon. Delivery charge is $8 for central drop, $11 door-to-door.  Farm pick-up is free and can be made on Wednesdays from 2-6 p.m. or some Saturdays.

All 1/2 share memberships must have a partner.  If you do not, we will partner you.  Poplar Ridge Farm reserves the right to refund any 1/2 share enrollments if we are unable to find a partner family unless you choose Farm Pick-Up.

Summer Flower Memberships

Full and Half Season Flower Membership – Guarantees 20 weeks or 10 weeks

Become a flower member and save! We offer a cut-flower CSA membership, an array of cut flowers from the week’s harvest. All flowers are organically grown.

20-week Flower Membership:  $400

10-weeks Flower Membership: $200

Flower Bouquet Orders (A la Carte)

If you choose not to be a flower member, you can still order weekly flowers in bunches or cut-stems of your choosing. This option requires a $50 deposit. Your deposit allows us to know how much to grow for the coming year!

Orders must be placed by noon on the Monday before pick-up. Pick-up times are during the farm’s Market Stand hours: 2-6 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays.

Special Orders

Bouquets and cut stems are also available on a weekly basis by special order.  Also by special order, we can provide designed floral bouquets for your home, business, parties, or events. All requests are filled in order of receipt.

Partner Farmer Products

Through our partner farmers, you may order poultry, eggs, bread, coffee, baked goods or goat cheese to supplement your CSA membership.

A deposit of $50 per product is required to guarantee your initial order. We will apply a $2 transaction fee for each $50 deposit for members who choose to pay partner farmer deposits online (avoid this fee by mailing a check to the farm).

Eggs, bread, cheese and coffee will be delivered with your produce once every four weeks. Your total price for these orders, May through October, will be invoiced at the beginning of the season. Your initial deposit will be subtracted from this total invoice.

$3.50-$4.00/dozen (no ½ doz)

Hens are pasture-raised with no hormones or antibiotics and are supplemented with non-GMO grain

Organic freshly ground spelt bread

$6.50/loaf

9-Grain Spelt Bread or Spelt Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Goat Cheese

$8 for 7 ounces

Organic Coffee

$12 for 12-ounce bag of regular
$13 for 12-ounce bag of decaffeinated
Small-batch, custom-roasted coffee from our organic roasters in Durham, N.C. and Charlotte, N.C.

Healthy Desserts

Organic, healthy desserts. Gluten-free and vegan options available. Changes monthly on our online order forms.

Gourmet Breed Poultry

$4.75 – $5.50 per lb
Pasture-raised with no hormones or antibiotics and supplemented with non-GMO grain
The poultry, along with the other products, can be bought in bulk and frozen! The initial deposit of $50 for poultry is REQUIRED to guarantee your order, and we will invoice again in $50 deposit increments once your original deposit has been fully used.
